KING PROMOTED TO COMMANDER OF TROOP L

(LITTLE ROCK) – The Arkansas State Police Commission today approved the recommendation of Colonel Winford E. Phillips, Director of the Arkansas State Police, to promote Lieutenant Lance King, 44, of Fayetteville to the rank of captain.

Captain King, a 20 year veteran of the department, will assume his new duties assigned as commander of the department’s Highway Patrol Division, Troop L at Springdale. Captain King most recently has served the department as assistant Troop L commander.
